Cons of buying ViewSonic P815 21" CRT Monitor:1. Old Technology: CRT monitors are old technology and are being replaced by flat-panel monitors such as LCD and LED.
2. Heavy and Bulky: CRT monitors are heavy and bulky, making them difficult to move around.

4. Limited Viewing Angles: The monitor has limited viewing angles, which means the image quality degrades when viewed from the side.
Conclusion:The ViewSonic P815 21" CRT Monitor is a good option for those who require a high-resolution monitor for detailed work such as graphic design or multitasking. However, due to its old technology, it falls short in terms of portability, power consumption, and viewing angles compared to flat-panel monitors. Therefore, it is recommended to consider these factors before making a purchase decision.
Recommendation:If you require a high-resolution monitor for detailed work and are not concerned about portability, power consumption, or viewing angles, then the ViewSonic P815 21" CRT Monitor is a good option. However, if you value portability, energy efficiency, and wide viewing angles, it is recommended to consider a flat-panel monitor such as an LCD or LED monitor.
Though, due to the nature of old analogue equipment, I cannot provide any sort guarantee for this. I'm way too nit-picky of a person to deal with that unfortunately and i'd rather have something else. Everything else about this monitor is great though. From the geometry, to colours, blooming performance, its absolutely top notch and some of best i've ever seen in a pc crt.
The only other example of this I could find sold here was for $1000 and it an inferior model. But again, i'm pretty confident it'll make it in one piece. Particularly, i'd be interested in a dell p991 or similar display as long its good condition, preferably black since the plastic is much less brittle. It'll do custom resolutions behind 120hz too.
If it had not been for this, this would have definitely an end-game monitor me. I picked this up a bit ago unaware that there was very small blemish in the anti-glare coating of display. I am not interested in anything below 19 inches with a signal scan rate of under 105hkz, as 1024x768 120hz is highly preferred resolution for me.
