However, recently, there have been concerns regarding the monitor's solder joints. Some users have reported issues with the monitor's backlight bleeding, which is believed to be caused by faulty solder joints. While this is not a common occurrence, it is something that potential buyers should consider before making a purchase. Overall, the Pixio PX347C Prime offers excellent specs and features for its price, making it an excellent choice for those seeking an UltraWide 1440p monitor with a high refresh rate and an immersive viewing experience.
The Pixio PX347C Prime is a 34-inch ultrawide monitor featuring a 1440p resolution, 100Hz refresh rate, and a VA panel. While this monitor offers several advantages, there are also some potential downsides to consider before making a purchase.
Pros:1. Ultrawide aspect ratio: The ultrawide aspect ratio of 21:9 offers increased screen real estate, making it ideal for multitasking, editing, or gaming.
2. High resolution: The 1440p resolution provides sharp and clear visuals, making it an excellent choice for graphic design, video editing, and gaming.
3. High refresh rate: A 100Hz refresh rate reduces motion blur and lag, making it suitable for gaming and video editing.
4. Affordable price: The Pixio PX347C Prime is priced aggressively compared to some other ultrawide monitors in the same price range.
5. Adjustable stand: The monitor comes with a fully adjustable stand that allows you to change the height, tilt, swivel, and pivot the display to your preferred viewing angle.
Cons:1. VA panel: VA panels are known to have some drawbacks, such as poor viewing angles, and a higher risk of image burn-in compared to IPS panels.
2. Limited connectivity: The monitor only comes with two HDMI ports and oneDisplayPort, which may not be sufficient for some users who require multiple display outputs.
3. Solder joint issues: Although not a common issue, some users have reported solder joint problems with the Pixio PX347C Prime. This issue may cause the monitor to fail prematurely.
4. Lack of USB-C: The monitor does not have a USB-C port, which may be a deal-breaker for some users, as this type of port offers both power delivery and data transfer in a single cable.
Conclusion:The Pixio PX347C Prime is an excellent choice for those in search of an ultrawide monitor with a high resolution, a decent refresh rate, and an affordable price tag. Its adjustable stand, sharp visuals, and expansive screen estate make it an ideal monitor for multitasking and content creation. However, potential buyers should be aware of its VA panel limitations, limited connectivity options, and the risk of solder joint issues.
If you can live with these disadvantages or are willing to accept them as a trade-off for the monitor's advantages, the Pixio PX347C Prime could be a worthwhile investment for your setup. On the other hand, if these issues are deal-breakers for you, it may be worth considering other ultrawide monitors with IPS panels or USB-C connectivity.
Sometimes it turns on with a white bar at bottom. Reedit suggests its called cold solder joints and goes back to normal after temperature rises. But I kept it on so didn bother me. My trick is to use a hair dryer blow bottom left part for 10-30 seconds make it go away.
Button to turn on/off is missing. Pixio PX347C prime 34 1440P 100hz monitor. Otherwise it works great. Need to use a pen.
A tiny scratch on screen about 1/8 inch.
